The 2022 Puligny-Montrachet Les Pucelles 1er Cru does not quite deliver the same complexity as the Folatieres at the moment; it’s more backward and malic in style. The palate is more promising, with plenty of fresh, slightly tangy citrus fruit. Spicier than the Folatières, there is more weight and concentration on the back end, though I prefer the afore mentioned's finesse on the finish.
